KEY LIME STEAKS

This tangy marinade adds the perfect flavour to your steaks.

INGREDIENTS
1.5 lbs   750 g   Marinating Steaks or Medallions OR Rib Eye, Strip Loin or Tenderloin Grilling Steaks
2 tbsp   30 mL   EACH soy sauce and honey
1/2 tsp   2 mL   Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup   50 mL   lime juice
1 tsp   5 mL   ground cumin
2 tbsp   30 mL   oyster sauce (optional)

PREPARATION TIME: 5 minutes
COOKING TIME: 10 - 20 minutes
MARINATING TIME: 12 to 24 hours

DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients except steaks in a Ziploc® freezer bag and massage to mix. Remove ¼ cup (50 mL) of the marinade and set aside. Add steaks to Ziploc® freezer bag and marinate in remaining mixture in the refrigerator 12-24 hours for marinating steaks and medallions, 10-15 minutes for grilling steaks. Grill or broil steaks turning only once or twice according to chart to desired doneness, basting with reserved marinade while grilling.
