JAVA PEPPER STEAK

This rub perks up your steak!

INGREDIENTS
1½ lbs   750 g   4 Beef Grilling Steaks (Rib Eye, Strip Loin or Tenderloin)
4 tsp   20 mL   finely ground coffee (optional)
4 tsp   20 mL   freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp   10 mL   ground cumin
    Salt to taste

PREPARATION TIME: 5 minutes
COOKING TIME: 10-12 minutes

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat barbecue or broiler.

2. Meanwhile, combine coffee, pepper, cumin and salt in large resealable freezer bag. Shake each steak separately in bag until evenly coated.

3. Grill, broil or pan-fry steaks for 5-6 minutes per side or until cooked to desired doneness.
