PREPARATION TIME: 20 min
COOKING TIME: 12 min
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, mushrooms, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Mix lightly and shape into 4-6 patties, 3/4" (2 cm) thick.
2. Grill, broil or pan-fry using medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes per side, until digital rapid-read thermometer inserted sideways into centre of each patty reads at least 160°F (71°C). At this temperature, patties are cooked at regardless of colour.
3. Tuck patties into toasted buns.
