Brown beef and onion in oil in large skillet or saucepan over high heat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for at least 45 minutes or until beef is tender. Serve with tortillas, taco chips or crusty rolls and a salad. If you like it spicier, you can "turn up the heat" on this recipe by adding hot sauce. This chili is even better when reheated and served the next day. * Substitute with 2 - 14 oz/398 mL can chili style stewed tomatoes if more readily available. Time Saver: If you're in a rush, substitute ground beef for the steak and this recipe can be ready in less than 30 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
