The saucy mixture for this hot sandwich is so quick to prepare with pre-cut steak strips and so tasty it's bound to please all family members.

Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 4 min.
 
4 4 crusty Italian rolls, split in half
1 lb 500 g Beef Stir-Fry Strips or Inside Round or Sirloin Tip Steak, cut into strips
1 1 large clove garlic, minced or 1/2 tsp (2 mL) garlic powder
1 1 green or red pepper, cut in strips
1 1 onion, sliced
½ cup 125 mL processed cheese spread (ie. Cheez Whiz)
1 tsp 5 mL Worcestershire sauce

Split rolls along one side; wrap in foil and warm in oven. Heat a large oiled skillet over medium heat; stir-fry beef and garlic in hot skillet for 2 minutes; remove beef. Add peppers and onion; stir-fry 2-3 minutes or until softened. Return beef and stir in cheese and Worcestershire sauce just to melt. Spoon mixture with sauce into rolls.

Makes 4 servings.

TIP:  For a spicier version substitute Mexican flavoured cheese spread and omit Worcestershire sauce.
