[Home] Texas BBQ Steak and Bean Salad

(or overnight)
1 lb 500 g Top Sirloin Grilling Steak (or Inside Round or Sirloin Tip Marinating Steak)
6 tbsp 90 mL Chili Sauce
6 tbsp  90 mL BBQ Sauce (Honey Garlic flavour)
large red bell pepper, diced
� cup  50 mL  frozen kernel corn
1 can (14oz/398mL) Deep Browned Beansin Tomato Sauce
1 can (14oz/398mL)  cut green beans, drained
1/4 cup 50 mL  chopped green onions

Place steak in plastic zipper bag and add 2 tbsp (30 mL) EACH of chili sauce and BBQ sauce. Marinate in refrigerator 10 minutes for Sirloin Grilling Steak, (or overnight if using Marinating Steaks). Turn several times to coat. Prepare bean salad by combining 2 tbsp (30 mL) EACH of chili sauce and BBQ sauce with the red pepper, corn, beans, and green onions. Stir gently. If serving the bean salad cold, place in the refrigerator to chill. Otherwise, heat bean salad mixture until piping hot. Baste steak with remaining sauce. Broil or BBQ steak for 10-12 minutes, turning once. Serve steak with, (or slice and fan out over) the bean salad and cornmeal muffins.
