Make it Beef Goes Out to the Farm

We just hosted our first ever public on-farm tour as part of a Canadian Living Advantage Event and we’re so excited to give you an inside peek! As the rain came down on the Sunnymead family farm we all maintained our sunny disposition – like the farmers we were with, we took what Mother Nature gave us and made the best of it.

Under the shelter of the hay barn, Ontario Corn Fed Beef was on the menu in our cooking demo and lunch hosted by Canadian Living’s Food Director Annabelle Waugh. We shared lots of beef cooking tips and sampled the yummy sizzling summer recipes featured here!

And then as the sun came out and the tours began. Folks marvelled to learn just what farmers do – never knowing that many farmers work with nutritionists to get their cattle feed mix just right (for example).

It was one heck of a day! And I could not have been prouder to be working for folks like farmer Bill Sheard and family – a true ‘Oh Canada” moment for me.
