What is a Rotisserie Roast?
Rotisserie Roasts are boneless, evenly shaped tied roasts designed for even cooking and easy rotation on the rotisserie. To meet demands for quick preparation, Premium Rotisserie Roasts are barbecue ready and only need a little seasoning before grilling. Other Rotisserie Roasts are best marinated in your favourite marinade for 12 to 24 hours.
Once on the barbecue, Rotisserie Roasts don't require any fussing - the way summer cooking should be. Roasts can be cooked on a rotisserie spit over the grill or directly on the grill using an indirect cooking method.
Indirect Heat Method: Place drip pan under grill on one side of barbecue. Preheat barbecue to medium-high (400F/200C). Turn off burner on side with drip pan; add inch (1 cm) water to pan. (If your barbecue has 3 burners, turn off the middle one). Place roast on unlit side of grill over pan. Close lid and cook to desired doneness.
Weighing anywhere between 4 to 13 lb (2-6 kg), Rotisserie Roasts are the perfect size for relaxed outdoor get-togethers and family gatherings.
